Born Originals, Jason Seife, Art of a Visionary and The Shoe Surgeon, just some of the contributors to an ever growing custom-shoe scene which has sky-rocketed over the past year.
We look back at some of the most amazing custom-shoes that have come courtesy of this unique movement, hoping there is even more custom goodness to come!
1. Jason Seife's Nike Air Force One Anniversary Custom
Whoever owns these, please get in touch. Made to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the iconic Air Force One, Jason Seife combined his signature 'Persian rug' style, with the modern edition of Nike's cornerstone shoe. In doing this, he created two utterly unique works of art wearable on your feet, opting to paint both the low and high-top versions of the AF1's. We can only hope that he gets to do a production line collaboration soon.
2. The Shoe Surgeon
Remember how you thought Nike iD was the coolest thing ever when you were a kid? The Shoe Surgeon provides that service x10,000. There's too many fantastic custom efforts to pick just one, so we had to gather a collection. The unique service provided by The Shoe Surgeon involves deconstructing a shoe and utilising other materials to rebuild it, in some cases, swapping the sole of one shoe for another!
3. Ink and Pencils
Our final tribute to the rise of custom-shoes has to be the fantastic work of Southend player, Sam Barratt, who will feature in our first edition of MAS Magazine! Whilst off injured, he's picked up the hobby of creating incredible custom shoes, and after time honing his skills, has been able to come up with some amazing designs. Make sure to grab your copy of MAS Magazine to find out more about Ink and Pencils' work.
